I bought these water hammer hoses in 2017 for my LG front load washing machine. The LG washing machine is a great machine, but it turns the water on and off abruptly and I was concerned about the water hammer it caused. Water hammer can damage water heaters and put undue stress on pipes. Also, it can be quite noisy. The hoses were very easy to assemble. I turned off the cold and hot water taps, unscrewed the original hoses and attached these. The hoses must be installed in the correct direction, but the hoses are marked with water flow arrows. Even after installation there were no leaks. Before purchasing these hoses, I installed a water hammer suppression tank in my cold water line. It is shaped like a small propane tank and contains a rubber water tank on one side and an air pocket on the other. There is a threaded air nipple for about 80psi in the air pocket, which equates to 80psi of water pressure in my main line. Everything worked fine for the most part, but there was still a knock from the washing machine. Danco connection hoses completely eliminated all water hammer. While the cost of these hoses may seem high, they are cheaper than buying a suppression tank and adapters to connect the tank to the water supply.
