This six outlet power strip is ideal for heavy duty applications. We use ours in the garage, and it can turn on tools and a power-hungry heater at the same time without whining. The strip itself is metal, and the plastic-cased sockets are very durable. There's also a built-in circuit breaker, saving us the hassle of going to the panel at the back of the house to reset the main breaker if we ever use too much power. The cord is ten feet long and very heavy, making it easy to plug directly into a wall outlet. When not in use, it wraps around the band for easy storage.
