These things are damn cool! There is no overhead lighting in our living room, so we use floor lamps. We don't mind, but getting up to turn them on and off, especially in the dark, is uncomfortable, so we decided to install these lights. Super easy setup. For the remote control you need 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. A page of instructions; read and is good. Follow the same instructions to set up different sets of lights (1-3). Remember that if you want the lamps in each lamp to work individually, you must turn off the power to one lamp completely while you adjust the other.
