I hung this on our Christmas tree and it has some really great features. It is very convenient that each LED can be any color. On timer 6 hours, off 18 hours. The length was too long to climb our 7ft tree. The blue light is so rich and beautiful; and some patterns are truly magical; almost like lightning. However, there are small breakouts in the pattern from time to time, and generally all effects occur too quickly. They remind me of some outdoor light shows. I was hoping for a peaceful, relaxing, magical effect on my tree. If the patterns moved more smoothly and faded in and out it would work. Instead, the effect is simply distracting. There is also no jaundice. They call it yellow, but it's just a little bit lighter than green. Purple is not as saturated as the Hahome brand. Love the fact that it has a remote control, although the buttons could be clearer. I only used it for one day so I can't comment on durability.
