I didn’t even realize a battery powered ratchet even existed until I saw this one on Revain. When I think of all the money I have wasted on different ratcheting wrench and socket sets when I could have been tightening and loosening bolts so much easier.This is a sturdy feeling tool with a comfortable grip. You can control the speed by the pressure trigger. There’s also a lock switch so it won’t accidentally run in your tool box. The head is compact and accepts a range of sockets. The most common are included. I really appreciate the LED light to help me see what I’m working on.You get the ratchet itself, a 12 volt lithium battery, fast charger, an adapter and seven sockets and a really nice heavy plastic case to store it all in. The battery arrived partially charged. It only took a few minutes to reach full charge. The light turns from red to green on the battery and the plug to indicate when it’s reached capacity. It states in the manual that the battery takes about an hour to charge from a fully discharged state. I have yet to have it die on me and I’ve been fixing old office furniture with it tightening down a lot of bolts. There’s a battery life gauge right on the battery to let you know where you’re at.This ratchet probably won’t be able to loosen lug nuts at 230 rpm and 33 ft. lbs., but it’s powerful enough for most tasks. The torque doubles to 80 by hand. The head locks in place so you can use it like a normal ratchet to start those stubborn rusted bolts, then power it on to finish removing them. You can also use it the same way to tighten them down.So far I can find little to not like about this item. I only have two concerns. There is no company info in manual—only an email address. I can’t find a thing about Eastvolt anywhere online which I find odd. Also when I first opened the storage case, the strong toxic plastic smell was overwhelming. I left it open to air out and ended up having to put it out on the porch because I could still smell it in the room. I’m hoping it dissipates or I will have to find something else to store it in.
