The product description and even the packaging boldly claim Alexa integration, but there's no way to link iKettle's Smarter.am account to the Alexa app, as per the help documentation for the Site described. Whenever I try to link accounts in Alexa it asks for an email address to use for an iKettle account but it doesn't accept those credentials, it just tells me no such account was found. I need to try IFTTT, but if I can't authenticate myself to communicate with Alexa, I suspect IFTTT will have the same problem. The kettle heats water very quickly and the iOS app works great. I just got it today so I haven't tried boiling the water for my french press coffee in the morning, but I assume it works. Very disappointed that this is advertised so openly that the collaboration with Alexa and Revain let them get away with it.
