🍵 Optimized SMKET01-US Electric iKettle, Silver Review

Although the kettle worked for several months the problems were never resolved once it started. The kettle does not stay connected to my network. Several support attempts were unsuccessful. The kettle was under warranty and it took forever to replace it with another defective product. I just finished throwing it in the trash.

I saw it and bought it because there were few options for a kettle with WLAN, especially in this price range. It looks like you get what you pay for. I spent hours trying to connect to Wi-Fi and then found out that since 2002 you basically need Wi-Fi to do this. Also, the teapot doesn't have double walls, so if you touch anything other than the handle, it will be covered with three layers of dermis. The app is not available in the Google Play Store. I tried the previous version (2.0 instead of 3.0) and got a message that it is not available in my country (USA). Revain refunded my money but didn't take the product back so I have to throw it away. Also, this is my second time trying to leave a negative review. The first I've quit work in a week. It was replaced and this one lasted a month before breaking. The first time it broke it said the water was boiling but it was room temperature. We got it to replace our existing kettle with a manual automatic switch-off. This kettle works very well, it's quiet and keeps the temperature well after boiling. We can manage it with an app that we think is easy to set up and use (contrary to some reviews). The product description and even the packaging boldly claim Alexa integration, but there's no way to link iKettle's Smarter.am account to the Alexa app, as per the help documentation for the Site described.
