I loaded this thing up with a bunch of oil painting supplies and put it in my suitcase for use at any time. Users of thick-handled brushes will have problems. Because of this, I carry a separate bag with bulkier items like media, paper towels, and jar lids that I can place tubes of paint and brush thinner on. If you use it to transport materials, try to pack it smaller. I only use a $5 set of paints in small tubes and they fit, but many more and they don't fit. It's still a great product, but don't expect to cram your entire collection of art supplies into it. I wish there was a way to raise the bottom of the easel (on which the bottom of the canvas would rest) so that when painting on my knees with a smaller canvas I don't have to lean as much to get the details closer to the floor . Conclusion: All in all a great product if you plan ahead. Just note that you cannot pack larger items in the box and plan to pack smaller items. If a small package is not suitable, you can consider other products. but if you can handle it, the easel is just great! I don't expect to stuff my entire collection of drawing material there.
