I bought this pump because of the high price and the versatility of the advertised 'amphibious' performance. As a submersible pump I can say this is the best value for money! Pretty quiet for its size. Attachments are great. I use it to clean a 1000 gallon carp pond through a biofilter and well. It works great. However, I could not prepare this pump to run without water. I doubt the seal is tight enough not to suck in air. I originally bought this as an overhead pump as it is advertised as capable. I've used other submersible pumps that don't advertise the ability of an amphibious product and have had more success. I'll continue troubleshooting as this is a good working pump. I will inform you if this changes.
