First of all, my daughter loves the smell. It's a strong scent (reminds me a bit of natural insect repellent) and she's picky so I'm glad I got to use it on her. She has long hair so I usually put it down the length of her hair rather than her scalp. I mainly use it in the morning as a detengler. I've never sprayed it on my hair all day to see what I think of this scent. We have a second bottle. This year there were several notes from the nurse that there were head lice infestations in her class and we were not affected! I highly recommend.
