For $15 this is an excellent emergency radio, the quality is satisfactory. Smartphone charger and five charging methods. It comes with a 18560 Li-ion battery for you to use and charge. You can also use 3 small AAA batteries to power on or 3 AAA rechargeable batteries. Now let me tell you why I'm not giving 5 stars but IAM is pretty happy with it. The main problem is that you should be aware of overcharging the 18560 ion battery as it does not have intelligent charging technology that will stop charging when it is fully charged and if it is unaware, it will catch fire can if left unattended, but of course it has a red light that flashes when charging and stays on when fully charged, and then you can turn off the charger, also the reception quality is not good, but it picks up the signal. Still a great emergency radio for me for the price
