Review on BougeRV 180 Watts Mono Solar Panel, 12 Volts Monocrystalline Solar Cell Charger High Efficiency Module For RV Marine Boat Off Grid by David Grajales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Meets electrical ratings as advertised/great value.

I'm not done running the landscape rope lights, have 200 out of 500 feet ran. This panel charges a 400 ah battery bank very well! For the price, power output, and size of the panel, it's excellent for what I'm doing. Absolutely would I recommend this to others. I will be running the lights for about 30 minutes a night so I can walk the dog to the bathroom when I get home from work (2nd shift). On weekends, I plan on running the lights for a few hours a day if we have friends over for a bonfire, or drinks, so no one gets injured walking the trail through the woods from the bon fire to the house. All total, the lights will pull about 22ah @24 volt dc series connected 2x 200ah batteries. Batteries are charged in parallel because I have one panel. Used 2x dpdt relays to make the automatic conversion between parallel charging and series operation of the batteries when I turn the light switch on. I was going to series connect two solar panels to charge a series connected battery bank, but seeing this one panel meets my power needs for the projected, I opted to install the relays to get the 24v I needed for the lights to adjust for voltage drop over a 500 foot run of wire with 32 lights.
