Hair looks dry, waves not especially well-defined

This product promises to define curls and waves in dry, damaged hair. Well, that's my hair, definitely. Thanks to covid, I haven't had my naturally wavy hair cut or colored in 6 months. It's kind of a mess. It's dry, the ends are damaged, and it's well past time for a trim.Unfortunately, results were only so-so for me. I used this product, along with with curl jelly and mousse from this same Hask lineup. This curl cream throughout, curl jelly scrunched in, brushed through with a Denman brush, and mousse applied as a last step before diffusing dry. That's a LOT of product. So, to be honest, I was kind of underwhelmed with my results.I mean, it's not terrible. But I was hoping for more definition and less frizz. For a wash day, especially, this result is very frizzy for me. And although my hair doesn't feel dry, it does look like it is. And this is AFTER a leave-in conditioner, applied immediately after washing. I haven't scrutinized the ingredients in this curl cream too closely, but as it's the product I used the most of, I suspect something in it may have a drying effect on my hair.On the plus side, my hair is soft and not at all crunchy. It's not BAD, but I've definitely used better. Mostly, I wish this product had a little more umph, is all.

Pros
  • This product maintains the perfect balance by keeping the hair moisturized without leaving any oily residue.
Cons
  • Could potentially cause hair to become weighed down or limp with excessive use
