We installed this barrier on our Toyota Sienna to allow our dog a comfortable and safe ride in the back of the car. In parallel with the installation of the barrier, a fairing was installed to protect the interior of the car, and we hope that the dog between these two products will not tear the car apart. used plastic wire ties in addition to the included clasp which seems to make the build much more solid and strong. The real challenge was installing the barrier in the vehicle using the bracket provided. The strap that came with the guard was not tight and it was difficult to attach the guard to the headrests. The barrier rattled and wasn't fastened securely enough for the dog to take it down. We dropped the strap and used plastic wire ties again (longer this time) to attach the barrier to the headrest support posts and it seems to do much better. The floor was loose and the dog was trying to squeeze under it to get forward, so we cut out a piece of plastic screen we bought from Home Depot and attached it to the bottom of the barrier and to the floor of the car. Now the whole assembly is tight, doesn't rattle and the dog is safe. End of the story.
