Somehow over time my choice of pants and trousers colors has evolved in such a way that they are mainly black and dark blue. Unfortunately, the same colors seem to show small lint, paper and hair easily. I ordered this particular lint roller in the first place because it came with 8 spare rollers. My purchase was a good decision. Sticky paper works great, even with spandex material, which is usually difficult to pull small pieces out of (see before and after photos of compression stockings). The roller works well and I had no problem removing a used piece of sticky paper from the roller to get rid of it, leaving a nice clean sheet for the next time I need it. The only thing that didn't impress me is that the dust cover only covers half of the sticky paper on the roll, leaving half where it can collect dust. It doesn't matter if you keep it open or vice versa, there's still plenty of tape left outside (see photos 3 and 4). Now I keep it loosely wrapped in a piece of wax paper. Perhaps you could leave a used strip of sticky paper on the outside of the roll and only replace it just before reusing it and that would solve the problem, but sometimes I just use it to collect two or three lints so the strip is still there very reusable. And when it's been used well, it looks dirty. But the scooter does a great job of what I bought it for. Picking up tiny lint, paper and hair. That's why I rated it five stars.
