I got this for my mom for Valentine's Day. She liked the fact that it's pink. So this is the Wii Remote Plus with Motion Plus built in. It is exactly the same size and shape as the old style Wii Remote, so all accessories such as jackets, battery covers and rechargeable batteries are compatible with it and interchangeable between the regular Wii Remote and the Wii Remote Plus. It works the same on Wii and Wii U, and the system itself doesn't care if you're using the old remote with the Motion Plus attached, or the new Remote Plus. Some say the newer remote housings and battery covers have an improvement over the old ones: each has a small hole above the sync button, allowing you to quickly and easily pair the remote with another console without even removing the cover. It is always recommended to buy official Nintendo branded controllers. They work much more reliably and have a significantly longer service life.
