Review on 🔧 Bilstein 4600 Series Front Shock Absorber: Enhanced Performance and Durability by Alejandro Anaya

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheaply made for shock absorber

This is NOT OEM SUITABLE! I have a Sequoia SR5 02 4WD. The FIRST thing I noticed was that I had bought them and opened the box. The Bilstein box itself was ripped all the way open and sealed with tape to hold the damn box. I don't hate Mexicans but we all know that most of the things that are made and even assembled there are not high quality things. It says Made in Mexico, but I took a chance. There are signs of wear on the shock absorber, as if someone had tried it on before. "NEW SAID". I do it myself and wow. no one said anything about the 1 inch difference in stroke from the OEM because, FUCK, the spring needs to be compressed to the MAXIMUM! I thought it should be in the factory and not fight for 4 hours on 1 hit. That spring retainer on the underside of the Bilstein shock broke from taking tons of compression and stress on the spring and oh my god I'm glad it didn't kill me. Other people must have been lucky or something, but I guess it wasn't for me. I can't return it because I've already screwed it up and that's a shame because who is really to blame? cheap stuff. very angry and very disappointed.

Pros
  • With manufacturer warranty
Cons
  • Not reliable
