On newer model car engines, the spark plugs are located on top of the combustion chambers in the cylinder head. This means that to remove/install spark plugs you need a deep socket with a magnet to hold the spark plug and an extension to get to the spark plug. To replace the spark plugs, the coil pack must be removed and a tool inserted through the access hole in the valve cover. Lexivon's swiveling magnetic candle head is the perfect tool for the job. There are several lengths to choose from. Due to lack of space for multiple spark plug positions on my V8 engine, I bought the 6" version and added a 3" extension to make it easier to change spark plugs in most positions. The 11" version of this tool did not fit my two spark plugs due to the gap around the master cylinder vacuum booster. All in all a great special tool at a good price.
