Tamer 3VZ-E! for Spark Plug and Ignition Tools

Those with a 3VZ-E engine may be familiar with the much-maligned #5 spark plug access. Simple and cheap Lexivon. Don't be afraid to pay a service center over $300 for a plug replacement based on stories on various forums. Another pro tip: Use tape on the drive end (circled) - for grip - to hand tighten the new connector before finishing with a 3/8" socket wrench. Save yourself the hassle of buying a 1/4" hose at your local hardware store and get a better idea of the Lexivon owner's manual. If…

Reliable and Durable

This tool was very helpful when changing the plugs on my GMC Sierra. The only downside is that the swivel doesn't have enough angle to get into the really narrow spark plug holes at the back of the engine. It's too long to fit in tight spaces. The magnet is strong and holds the spark plug in place.

On newer model car engines, the spark plugs are located on top of the combustion chambers in the cylinder head. This means that to remove/install spark plugs you need a deep socket with a magnet to hold the spark plug and an extension to get to the spark plug. To replace the spark plugs, the coil pack must be removed and a tool inserted through the access hole in the valve cover. Lexivon's swiveling magnetic candle head is the perfect tool for the job.
