I've had several Deathadder iterations before purchasing the v2 (Pro) and most recently upgrading to the Elite. For other people like me who are familiar with the Razer range and are thinking of the v2, I'd just like to point out a few of the differences I've highlighted in their latest model: Loud: The clicks are EXTREMELY loud compared to the Razer Elite . It also has a dull "pop" tone compared to the Elite's firmer, more sustained tone. I'm not sure if the sound will get quieter over time, but even if it does, I doubt it'll ever be anywhere near as quiet as the Elite. The side buttons are also slightly louder than those on the Elite. Shorter, thicker cable: I plan to use the v2 Pro mainly wired, and the new cable is a few feet shorter, plus it has a jacket that gives it a look. much thicker than the Elite - Improved side grips: The v2 has a textured finish on the entire sidewall, not just the bottom half of the Elite - Lighter: Despite the v2's wireless technology, it's lighter than the Elite. I used to have a Mamba as a travel mouse that was significantly heavier than the Elite. It's great to have a travel mouse that doesn't weigh much more than the battery. Improved Scroll Wheel: The scroll wheel is actually quieter than the Elite, but feels the same overall (maybe 10% smoother, but it's not). maybe just because of the attrition of my elite)
