Withstands child abuse

Had my baby for about 3 months. I've been to summer camps and school. Fell down a few times. It's still worth it. I find it easy to close even with arthritis. It's easy to close regularly even for an 11 year old. I wash it every day or at least give it a quick rinse every day after school and let it dry overnight. I used a regular bottle brush but recently bought a silicone bottle brush which I like better. Don't worry about the sponge part getting dirty because there is no sponge part. I wash it in the dishwasher several times a week (cap and bottle). I know people (including my family members) who don't wash their water bottles. daily but I see it like any other glass/cup. I washed the cups every day after use, sometimes the same cup multiple times a day, so why not a water bottle? No mold so far, maybe because I rinse/wash it regularly and then put it out to dry, but I've seen one person pull the plastic out of the cap to wash underneath, so I may add that to my washing routine when I have time just to make sure nothing bad gets inside. I don't like plastic, but the boy can't take glass water bottles to school and the metal bottle he smashed when he fell off the cafeteria table. This has held up well so far. I actually went to the site to buy a second one as a backup in case I forget to wash it the night before my next school day.
