I needed a new set of spark plug wires to replace the ignition coils I just installed on my 2004 Mazda RX-8. This kit worked great. At first I was a bit worried about the length, but these wires were a bit longer than the standard wires. This was ideal as the standard devices were barely long enough to reach. The RX-8 has been running flawlessly since it was installed about 3 months ago. Although I think that is more due to replacing ignition coils. Spark plug leads don't really have fancy features or brand differences, they either work or they don't. These work. If you end up changing the wires on your RX-8, it should be a cinch. Just jack up the front of the car (make sure to use jack stands or tire ramps. NEVER rely solely on a jack unless you don't mind a 2000 lb car falling on you.) - Use a flashlight and reach past the fender inside the driver's side wheel well. There you will see spark plugs and wires attached to them. When the car is jacked up, it should be easy to reach. It is not necessary to remove the tire, the work takes about 10 minutes.
