This stainless steel ashtray/mug is great. I smoke black and mild jazz cigars that aren't much thicker than cigarettes and I find the hole in these cups perfect for putting out my cigars and plugging the hole to keep the smoke in! Then I can light my cigar again later. Best of all, I don't usually like to smoke a whole cigar at once, and there's no way to lay them out in the car. Now I actually smoke less because when I smoke it for a few minutes (they burn for about 25 minutes) I just stick it in the hole while standing upright and I'm ready until I want to take it out and have more. I keep one next to a chair in the garage and two more for my cars. The latches on the lid have been loosened a bit, but if you push the retaining tabs outward they will flex slightly, but just enough to hold the lid in place.
