You'd think I'd have left a review after we bought the first one, but better late than never. Four gates later, here it is.PROS-Easy to install, even with the wall-mounted cups. I used the cups for the one at the base of our stairs (top of the stairs already had a baby gate when we moved in), and for all the others who are simply between door frames, I used the pressure of the gate itself without the cups. I am currently 7 months pregnant with our second when I installed the 4th one.-Sturdy. Husband slipped down the stairs after an exhaustingly long day once, hit the baby gate at the base of the stairs (the one with the wall mounted cups), and the thing didn't care. Didn't budge at all. Husband is okay, I promise. For the non-cup ones, if I push REALLY hard or bounce against it, I can get it to move, but I am an overweight pregnant woman. A toddler/young child will have trouble getting this to move.-Easy to Open. I can open it with one hand with a wriggly baby in the other arm.-Opens both ways and stays open at 90 degrees. I did like that I had the option to leave the gate open for after baby goes to sleep.CONS-I have no idea if the cups are mandatory for a simple door frame installation. It specifically mentions the wall cups for stair-mounted gates, but it doesn't for a door frame. But elsewhere, it says to always mount with the wall cups. I am further confused by any images found on the Best Buy site. Some have cups, some don't. So I opted to just used the cups for the one on the stairs.-No idea what the deal is with the sticker pads. I tried using them on one of the door frame installations, and it just caused the gate to slide. Was I meant to take the backing off of both sides? Because if I was, it doesn't say in the directions. It only mentions removing the backing of one side off the sticker pad. However I feel about the directions, I HAVE bought four of these monsters, and they aren't exactly cheap. I do not regret my purchases and would make the same choice again. I would say that if you have cats, you might want to put something on either side of the gates so they can jump over it, because the bars are too close for cats to get through. Only one of our three cats can leap over it.
