Review on 1-Inch x 36-Foot Blue Silicone Self Fusing Tape for Repairs - XFasten Silicone Repair Tape by Ricky Cruise

The trick is to stretch and wrap

and stretch and wrap to hold the tension on the tape and finish so the last 1/2-1 inch doesn't overlap the previous ones and it sticks to itself. If you don't stretch it, it will NOT connect. ADVANTAGES: Self-merge so the layer becomes one with the next. Useful for temporary repairs of rigid pipes, cable ties, electrical wires and cables. There is no glue so it can be removed without leaving any residue. CONS: Unlike some self-adhesive tapes, it doesn't stay stretched unless constant tension is applied, making it a bit tricky to use. There's no glue, so sticking it in hard-to-reach places can be tricky. A NOTICE. This will NOT work with garden hoses. You could try inserting a piece of rigid tubing into the hose, but I haven't tried that, so I can't confirm this usage. But there are so many other great uses for this tape!
