The sound quality is very bad.

This type of product is exactly what I was looking for, but the sound quality is so bad that it's completely unusable. Work-related factors worsened my hearing. I wanted a speaker next to me with a volume control so the TV wouldn't be too loud for the rest of the family. This was difficult as the base had to be four feet from the firestick I was using. Find the right spot so the speaker doesn't clip or crackle. I hooked it up all three ways, including changing the TV settings to use an optical cable. After playing around with it for about an hour and waiting until the next day for a fully charged battery on the speaker, I gave it a try. Everything worked fine except for the sound quality. For those of you who have heard a blown speaker, that's exactly what it sounds like. Blurry, no clarity. It made him no better than a blaring television. I returned the money, I will keep looking.
