After reading many reviews I bought this to add a second monitor (which I already had) to my Lenova S340 laptop. It was supposed to already have displayport functionality, but the original C-HDMI cable I bought didn't work, so the solution suggested was a displayport adapter and displayport to hdmi cable, both of which I bought , but they didn't work at all , this adapter may be defective. I came back and Revain got my money back and my son used a regular USB 3.0 cable to an HDMI connector which was plugged in and working and worked great the first time!
