These balls are NOT suitable for "most" hamsters! I have a Syrian and it's too big to fit comfortably in this thing. I bought her a ball that fits in a chinchilla size ball. It works 100% better for you. She has a place where she feels like she is not trapped and in pain from having to bend over and not being able to get up in it. Also, she doesn't mind going to the big ball. The smaller one, she doesn't fit in, and I don't blame her! These little spheres could work for a hummy robot. Although I wouldn't count on it. In addition to the terrible size, these balls to be assembled open together with the ham inside. If they hit a wall or foot, the ball will fall apart. I had to tape the seam along with the lid because of the poor design. My ham escaped chewing on the inside of the lid just right. I caught her in time before she got lost. Now that she's done it once, she keeps trying. you are smart The ball I bought from the pet store (large) only has 1 detachable part, the lid, and I add 1 piece of tape on the outside in case she takes the lid off so she can't run away and that's it . much safer than the ones that snap together. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY hamster with this ball size and type. Terrible and cruel!
