Review on DenTek Professional-Fit Dental Guard: Maximum Protection for Teeth Grinding - 1 Count by David Gonzalez

I rarely write reviews on Revain but having ordered them due to this pandemic limiting my access to stores I now know I will never, even in the most desperate of times, ever buy again Dentek- Products. Now I'm someone who has worn a face mask for the past 5+ years. At night, due to stress and other issues, I chatter my teeth so violently that the sound of the grinding wakes my partner and sometimes me too. So, I've tried several pairs of mouthguards, each lasts about 6 months, but if they fit comfortably and don't disturb my sleep, I don't mind changing them. The mouthguards I used were Dentek and I remember always hated their bulkiness because they wouldn't let me close my mouth. Also, I would devour them in less than 3 months. Luckily I've found other brands, usually pharmacy brands via Riteaid and Walgreens, that fit much better, aren't bulky, last longer and usually sell for two for the price of that one Dentek! This time I sincerely hoped for the experience. will be different. Had not! I'm a woman and maybe this product works better for men, still very doubtful. But firstly, even though the product is shaped like any other mouthguard, finding the right fit on the first try is much more difficult! Other great products have an added detail that allows the user to expand or narrow the plastic retainer depending on the shape of their mouth. This Dentek product doesn't, meaning you're basically forced to conform the shape of the mouth to the shape of the plastic retainer, with little to no adjustment. This meant that on my first try the mold came out crooked and when I closed my mouth not only did the tooth plate come off but only one side touched part of my bottom teeth, the other side didn't mean I was definitely going to have a jaw alignment. Questions. On the other hand, I am someone who uses mouthguards all the time! It wasn't just that I didn't know what I was doing. Issue 2: Durability. As a result of being forced to re-mold due to a faulty design and the bulkiness of the product, I now had a product that was already falling apart (see photos). Although the fit was better than my first try, it still had an alignment issue, but somehow it fit more snugly so it couldn't fall off easily. However, the product still forced my mouth to stay open in an uncomfortable way. Problem 3: Impact on Sleep - Throat Problems I woke up coughing four times last night. Since this product keeps my mouth open, my throat got very dry during the night and I was really worried about getting a dry cough. The last time he woke me up I decided to stop taking the product and lo and behold there was no more coughing for the rest of the night. Problem 4: Price As I mentioned earlier, you can get other great products that usually come with two caps. for the price of this Dentek! You are much better off buying a product with the same reviews as this one that AT LEAST gives you access to two mouthguards instead of one. It's not worth it and now I've lost $20 because I couldn't even wear it for one night! And yes, sometimes the face mask takes a little getting used to, but that wasn't the case here. If you are ordering these because you were as desperate as I was and experiencing the above issues, know that this is not normal and you can definitely find another protection that works better for you! Don't give up and wear this terrible product. That can do a lot more harm than good.
