Let's set realistic and even expectations before we get overly critical. As a consumer, what do you really expect? I installed this on my 2020 Polaris 450. Of course (CONS): 1) the instructions are tiny (the size of the palm of my hand), 2) very little help with installation (just a few arrows), 3) the holes don't line up exactly (but with very little effort/muscle). can be made to work) and 4) not perfectly aligned upon completion. by the manufacturer, 2) took 15 minutes to install, 3) looks good in my opinion (see picture to judge for yourself) and 4) looks like it will work exactly like the manufacturer says. Generally, <$100 for brush guards is legal. I recently installed a Glacier Pro winch and plow system (as shown in the picture) and decided to take a chance and get a cheap guard. I have to admit I'm impressed. Not because it's perfect, but because I'm confident this $87 skid plate will do what I want it to do (i.e. reduce brush impact on the front of the quad). Do not get me wrong. I wouldn't pack this thing on my truck, but that's because I'm more selective when it comes to protecting a much larger investment. If you expect perfection, pay for it. If you want something that gets the job done, this protective case is perfect.
