Simply wrap it around the dog, secure it around the neck and chest and voila, the dog is ready to go, comfortable and fast. I bought one each for my small and large dog. It fits my little dog well, she looks stylish in it, I like the collar on her. However it looks a bit out of place on my large dog and the band collar is dangling on her coat but well its functional so I'm fine my large dog doesn't seem to mind :-) My dogs don't squirm , but they do very well for dogs who don't want to wear sweaters and coats, especially those with front sleeves. I love the comfort factor for both my dogs and myself. It's not that thick, suitable for fall, but you may need a thicker one for very cold winter days/nights.
