Review on Fractal Design Define 7 Black and White E-ATX Silent Modular Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case, Made of Brushed Aluminum and Steel by Timothy Cole

There has never been such a beautiful case

This is an exceptional case and has changed depending on how you view cases. I used to have cases that were mostly sheet metal with sharp edges to hold your computer inside. It has an extremely thoughtful design and quality construction. The case is very roomy, with room for an optical drive and plenty of *reconfigurable* space for accessories. Want a boatload of discs? Can do. Do you want a liquid cooling system? can do. If you want more cooling with a perforated top plate, choose between solid and perforated plates. Thick soundproofing everywhere. Cable routing is well done, with cables coming out from under the motherboard, Velcro cable holders, and rubber grommets on the holes. There are large, quiet fans for airflow, and all air intakes have large, cleanable filters to trap dust. When you need to get in and out, this suitcase is just great. Simply pull in the right place and the side panel comes loose. Many cases are "tool-less," but that just means lots of fat thumbscrews. Most of the main elements snap in and out securely when doing this. The only improvement I would make in this case is a way to remove the cover around the PSU where the modular cables connect. I had to cheat by unplugging the PSU, connecting the cables, then setting it up as a non-modular PSU and routing the cables. Other than that, I really liked the old Mac Pro case from 2010, but this one is way better.
