Review on Rowood Christmas Birthday Telescope Puzzles by James Naylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I had both a globe from this company and this telescope

I took both to my son's for my grandchildren (teens and teenagers) to work with me and my son to sit at the table for talks plus help assembling the globe. We hadn't built the globe when I had to go home, but my son told me the globe turned out beautiful and they started with this telescope. A few days later, my granddaughter called me and told me how much she loved the two wooden puzzles - the globe and this telescope - that I had brought with me. She told me what she liked most about these puzzles was that they could be used. That the globe is (currently) accurate and can move if you're looking for a country/state, and that this telescope isn't really a telescope, more like binoculars that get things closer, like a monocular, more or less. They love building things out of Lego and other building block sets, but most of the time when they're done, it's just cool buildings like the Taj Mahal or the White House. It's actually nice to look at, but there's no real interaction once it's done. That makes these wooden puzzles different and part of their interest and charm as a gift or just for your family/friends.

Pros
  • a handy part
Cons
  • so far so good
