Review on 🐠 Cobalt Aquatics Accu Therm: The Ultimate Submersible Heater for Perfect Aquarium Temperature by Trina Piskie

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Aquarium heater and cooler failed twice

This heater failed twice. Once after 90 days, and then the exchange failed after six months. Not a very good experience. I had to send it back to the manufacturer for a replacement at my expense ($12 or $13 each time). Also both times I had to call Cobalt and track the return as it was not replaced in time. The production time was about three weeks before I received a replacement. In the meantime I had to buy a heater locally or all my fish would have died. For the second replacement, they sent me a newer, more expensive 150-watt Digital Neo-Therm model. Digital heaters need to be more reliable. BUT, I've since read an AMAZON review by Calcifer and a comment by Utah Bliss warning of exploding and smoking Neo-Therm heaters and a loud clicking sound. Now I'm worried that I have a ticking time bomb at home and I'm going to buy a reliable heater that wasn't made by anyone but Cobalt. Would I buy this again? NO! I am very unimpressed with the poor quality and reliability of Cobalt products.
