Review on πŸ’‘ Secure and Portable Storage for SD Memory Cards: Introducing the Pelican 0915 Memory Card Case in Black by Ashwin Chauhan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great case! Ignore the old reviews from 2012!

Ever since I bought my first DSLR in 2009 I've always struggled with properly protecting and storing my SD cards from the weather and even myself. When I talk about myself I mean that over the years I have lost or accidentally lost my SD card. I've found that keeping my SD cards all in one place makes it easier to protect and track my SD cards. . Makes sense right? Rather than just stuffing them into random pockets, zippers, or other storage locations? So I bought some Pelican 0915 SD Card Protective Cases! I bought my first two Pelican 0915 SD card sleeves from Revain back in November 2012 and with the ever increasing number of SD cards I didn't buy another one until January 2014. Bad design, doesn't hold cards properly, old design better was etc. But to be honest having used this case for the last 3 years or so these reviews seem like gibberish to me. These cases are true to their Pelican brand and I'm glad I made the investment and bought them. Judging by reviews of the Revain in 2012 and to date, it looks like Pelican made some changes to the case. The case release latch now has a groove for easy opening, and I feel the inner lining holds cards better than before. Now they won't fall out of their slots. Keeping 12 SD cards in one case might sound like a lot, but you don't really need to keep 12 SD cards in one case. When I didn't have more than 12 cards, I marked one side of the Pelican sleeve as "Blank/Formatted Cards" and the other side as "Used Cards". Name on sleeve in case you work with other photographers. You'll never want to confuse your gear with someone else's! As you can see in the picture I put a sticker with my name, website, email and phone number. Your gear, especially if you want to protect your cards and keep track of them all in one place!
