Garbage. Died after 15 minutes boat ride.

Nonsense! I had a problem with my own pump as I couldn't go past 20 notes. I bought this pump after reading the reviews and the price. The first one was missing a gasket. The replacement was delivered on time. I installed it and started the boat after paying the entry fee. The boat worked great. The first 10 minutes at a speed of 42 max, then it started to splash. It wasn't even a hot day to create a vapor barrier. So I braked and for another 10 minutes the car ran fine but my luck didn't last long as the engine died. I thought it was a vapor lock so I filled the pump with cold water and ice and waited another 15 minutes. The boat did not start. Luckily I was ready and had my trolling motor and tools ready. After the engine had cooled, I pulled another clear hose that connected to the pump and the other end into a jerry can and attempted to start the engine. There was absolutely no absorption. when the starter is switched on. I pulled my boat ashore still suspecting the vapor lock had returned. tried to connect the clear hose and the gas worked again after 2 days of parking and cold engine. There was absolutely no suction. So this confirmed that the pump was bad and there were no vapor lock issues. I returned it for a refund and opted for a new $220 Mercury OEM pump. I hope this solves my problem but buying RPS was a big mistake.
