I thought I'd smoke cigarettes in the basement so the house wouldn't stink. Bad idea. The whole house and air ducts were inundated with the smell and there was nothing I could do about it. I looked for ways to remove it and ozone popped up. I tried the first room which smelled the worst. I set a timer on the dresser for 20 minutes and ran out, sealing the bottom of the door with a towel. It sounds like a gas chamber releasing gas. I left the room for 30 minutes after 20 and went inside. the room reeked of an oddly sweet mix of bleach and plastic. I was afraid something would go wrong. Open windows. Walked in after a while and no longer smelled smoke or an old house/old woman smell in the closet. The bed and clothes there also had no smell. Impressed! So I took it downstairs where they smoke and turned it on for 30 minutes. smoke and cellar smell. PASSED! After a few days the smell returned a bit so I plan to use it again. But I have to say, it absolutely works! I don't like the smell it leaves, but it goes away after a day or so. Just remember that you or other living creatures cannot be in the room when it is working and do not enter it for at least half an hour after it is working. Ozone is bad for your lungs! I'd say it's absolutely worth $60. ABSOLUTELY!
