This product is really suitable for beginners and artists of all levels. A very handy tool they give you is a paper sample with the color names already written on it. Getting a new watercolor palette can be very intimidating, but sample paper is a great way to familiarize yourself with the product. I like that the color can become transparent with enough water and very opaque with less water. This is a quality not found in all watercolor sets. Personally, I like to mix watercolors with a gel pen or ballpoint pen, but some watercolors can leave a chalky consistency after drying, making it difficult to draw with a pen. This set is not like that. Another quality I appreciate is that you can tell right away that the colors in this set have been carefully chosen. The top row has very warm tones of yellow, orange and red. The middle row has purple, blue and green colors. The last row has more neutral colors. You can work from a line to maintain consistency when creating a product and you don't even have to think too much. All in all this is a really good product. It works well. It's easy to travel with. I would recommend this product to anyone, whether newbie or even a bit advanced.
