Difficult to breathe: sports medicine

I have a deviated septum and can hardly breathe through my nose. My problem is that I can't use this style, I can only use the top mount and the hole between the top and bottom is like breathing through a straw. Only get this if you're comfortable breathing through your nose throughout the game and not choking at all.
