Bought two and regretted not buying one. Now in! I have been a licensed radio amateur since 1994 and have purchased or made my own antennas for HF, VHF, UHF and 1.2GHz radios. My advice? Use a hook because you'll be talking further than this thing. One of my repeaters is so well matched (duplexer and antenna) that you can turn it off even if you can't hear it at your current location. This antenna can't even do that. If you want to work with someone within 1/2 mile of you, they're going to have hearing problems. I haven't put a meter on it yet, but I can guess the result.
