Wanted to make candy bars thicker than usual so decided to try soap molds. After about 20 minutes in the freezer I pulled the latches out and the design was perfect. No flakes in the grooves. They were a bit difficult to get out of shape as I tried to be careful with them (the deepest grooves in the pattern make it quite thin in places). It would be frustrating to damage it the first time you use it. I know it will eventually break at those thin spots so 3 stars for durability. Because I just pour warm chocolate in instead of throwing it in the oven, I don't have to run to the hardware store, and a bit of silicone doesn't thicken the base and is still safe to use. But overall nice. The options are to make the bars as thick as I want or add 4x more nuts/berries to them than regular bars. Probably good for soap too, but soap isn't as tasty as chocolate.
