Very Limited Use

Let me first explain what it actually is: This device takes some limited information as input from a motorcycle; engine speed and wheel speed. It then converts this ratio into a numeric form that is displayed to the driver as 1 through 6, which are interpreted as gears. It doesn't show 0 but dashes because it can't get a ratio for NULL (neutral). That being said, any discussion about the "clutch sensor" (broken or not, present or not) is just plain stupid. There is no clutch sensor, as well as a gear sensor, and there is no information at the access point about the activity of a clutch sensor. The fact is that if your clutch slips, then the gear ratio will show other numbers (not those that the device can work with). Forward, what is he doing? It shows what gear your bike is in after you calculate the gear ratio (after about a second); As soon as you pull the clutch, a dash appears because it is not actionable data. In summary, the ONLY function of this device is to know what gear you are preparing to corner in (at lower speeds this can sometimes cause confusion between 4th and 5th or 5th and 6th). lead), so this information can come in handy if you've lost your counter (the counter in your head, to be precise). People should be aware of the fact that as soon as the clutch is depressed no numbers are displayed and this is due to the fact that the data is being mixed up and not some wonderful 'clutch sensor' which is showing the Numbers forbidden. This is also why it only displays numbers while the wheels are spinning (it needs this data to come up with a number). Some may find it "cool", some may use it for what I just explained, and others may not find it useful. To the seller: I received my FIRST device and installed it according to the "instructions" (this is a joke btw). That does not work; I then went to read the Q&A and found that the seller answered some of the questions by telling buyers to "contact them first". So I did and two days later they told me my "clutch sensor" was broken. LOL My bike has 2200 miles on the odometer and a clean bill of health. In the meantime I have ordered a second device and it works as described. After that I started the return process and I have to return the bad one. Wouldn't it be more honest to admit a mistake and just say, send it back and you'll get another hand-checked one?
