Authentic leather. You can really smell the skin. This is a medium sized wallet. My iPhone 8 (standard size) fits perfectly in the phone compartment with the rescue pouch and socket and closes easily with a snap. Lots of space for cards, ID, money. Has a wrist strap for easy carrying to have everything you need without having to carry your wallet around. The wrist strap can also be removed if you prefer. It has two button closures and two zippers. Very soft, light, not heavy skin. The seams look good and don't fray. I love the wallet and am quite picky when it comes to wallets.
