When my iMac monitor failed (but the displayports still worked) I used this mount and the Dell designed VIVO Quick Attach Adapter Plate Mount to put together a workaround instead of spending THOUSANDS on a new iMac instead of mine workplace. I just hid my iMac under my desk and used these VIVO products to save a lot of money. The two Dells are slightly different IPS panel models (1920 x 1080) - not as good as an iMac monitor, but I plan to upgrade to better ones soon. The monitors are mounted using VESA adapters, which actually add a couple of inches more to the front, but everything hangs well and is very stable. I spoke to VIVO before purchasing and they assured me that everything would work. And so it happened. Very pleased with build quality, packaging and finish. Everything is perfect. The only problem I could think of is that the logo on the pole is not centered when assembled (ha!). That and the inherent design of not having 100% independent arms are the only downsides I can think of. otherwise all pluses. At first I thought I could poke a hole in my desk but even my 15kg monster kitty can't lower this setup with a stand so I'm totally happy with it as a lot of the reviews here mention instability. All in all a great purchase, thanks!
