Review on 🎡 Icstation DIY Light Sensor Sound Module Micro USB Music Player for Talking Greeting Card: A Creative Gift with 8M Memory and Speaker by Pete Door

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very easy to use; almost an hour of lullabies

I ended up using it for another project that was originally planned when I bought it. A new project was a mini music box for my little son. I used an old phone charger connector and connected it directly to the red and white power wires on this board. I bought a small plastic box from Revain and used a spare heavy duty button that had lying around. I drilled a few holes, installed the speaker, routed the power wire, and mounted/rewired the original button. I connected this board to my Windows 10 PC, mounted it as a flash drive and deleted the existing song. I was then able to record nearly an hour of lullabies (as one continuous MP3) onto the chip and turn the volume down to minimum. Pressing the button starts the music from the beginning; press again to stop (or until the music ends); pressing again starts from the beginning. I used an audio editor to merge multiple MP3s, match the volume, and then save them at a very low bitrate. something like 22050 kHz at 16 kbps. This speed was absolutely sufficient for a simple soft lullaby with a tiny loudspeaker, but I was able to get 57 minutes of music on an 8 megabyte chip.
