Useful replacement for disposable ziplock bags
These reusable plastic ziplock bags are great for storing fruit, nuts, sandwiches and other non-liquid foods. However, when we first opened them, they had a fairly noticeable chemical smell. Luckily the smell dissipated after I washed them and left them open to dry. Strangely, some of the bags immediately started peeling off the brand name (see image), forcing us to wash them again before we could use them. Additionally, reducing the amount of plastic that ends up in the waste stream is good, even if it's just a small change for the better.
