Cotton blankets are a godsend to a hot sleeper such as myself. I purchased this one for my guest bed rather than my own. I don’t particularly care for the basket weave style, but it seemed like the closest-knit one and therefore more resistant to snagging.I laundered it prior to use according to instructions and, as anyone is familiar with cotton could expect, there was a LOT of fuzz in the washer and lint trap. You may need to be careful what you wash in the following load or even do a clean cycle.Additionally, also as expected, I did experience a bit of shrinkage. After washing it measured 81”x86”. So if the dimensions are important to you, you may want to go up a size.Overall, for the quality is fair for this price point. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money but I didn’t want something that would fall apart or easily snag.This works best as a layering blanket rather than a top blanket due to the shrinkage but also quite a bit of pilling. You also won’t need to launder it as much that way.However, if you intend to use it as a top blanket, you may want to opt for something else a little more expensive and higher quality… and bigger.
