Review on 🎧 Sony STR-DN840 7.2 Channel 1050-Watt A/V Receiver in Black - Enhancing SEO by Jessica Bryant

Replaces Harman Kardon AVR 335, which seemed very good to me. This Sony STR-DN840 is amazing. I replaced it to get HDMI connections. Don't really expect a noticeable improvement in sound quality. I use the same Harman Kardon surround speakers with a Velodyne MicroVee subwoofer. That Sony is putting out 150 watts to the speaker versus 75 watts to the HK receiver is clearer and sounds incredible. Now I can actually hear dialogue when watching TV and movies, whereas before I had to choose the best sound mode to get a decent balance between sound effects and voice. The sound just seems clearer and if I was just listening with my eyes closed I'd think I'd upgraded all my speakers. I don't know how much it has to do with higher power/channel. I like the remote control. Speaker setup was very quick, and the annoying audio tones used for auto setup are better than the usual audio onslaught. Yes, the method of entering the network password (choosing letters/numbers/symbols from the remote) could confuse people a lot, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I really like how easy it was to connect the Sony to a wireless network and play music while sitting at my computers. On Windows 7 I just turned on homegroup sharing and Sony sees everything and I can skip the iPhone and play straight from my entire collection. Another nice feature. I can actually upload music from iTunes to Sony. HDMI is what I wanted. But the connectivity and sound quality are insanely satisfying. The instructions are so-so. I didn't really have to use it to set everything up above. Overall there is room for improvement but the features and amazing features make it an easy 5 star game. By the way, I haven't had any issues with HDMI or any other issues so far.
