I bought this to test and see if I could gift it to friends and family who mostly have a lot of background clutter - motorbikes, screams, crowds etc. I bought an external lavalier mic (Sony) to use but couldn't get it to work at first. Then I finally realized it was expecting a 3.5mm TRRS headphone jack (i.e. a single jack headset) since it is essentially a digital-to-analog (DAC) unit. A headset with a TRRS connector is expected. If you want to separate microphone and headphones, you need a TRRS splitter. The product page and many reviews don't mention it, which it really should. After figuring it out, I tested it on my PC and Pixel 3a and both worked fine. It won't be as good as Nvidia's RTX voice tech, but it will ensure you're heard even in noisy environments. I just wish they would explain their AI a little better and maybe give more examples of what it's good at blocking and what it isn't. They really depend on third party reviews for rating. It's a step in the right direction, but it looks like a semi-finished product. Overall not bad for the 1.0 version of this product but they really should be selling it better marketing wise. We also hope that in the future they will offer firmware updates to improve it.
