I was looking for 1TB hard drives to replace a failing RAID array. I just bought a 1TB WD Green drive but that was DOA. I sent it back to Revine with no problems. Then I started reading a lot of reviews online. The choice fell on Samsung Spinpoint F1 or WD Caviar Black 1TB. ] WD drive at the moment: quiet, fast. I've had a few WD drives that fail, but overall the WD is still my favorite for reliability and quality and hassle-free performance. And this drive comes with a 5-year warranty. . It seems worth paying attention to just this rare trait! Revain's caveat: I wasn't impressed with the packaging of this disc or the DOA disc I received a few weeks ago. Two bubble bags are not enough to secure the product in the shipping carton. Of course the powerheads should be parked after manufacture to avoid damage to the platters, but I don't think there's any use in a product being banged in the packaging more than necessary. Please pack your hard drives better, Revane!
